Justin Henderson - Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Justin grew up in a small village south of Pittsburgh, PA, where life in a close-knit community forged his strong work ethic and deep commitment to service. With military service running deep in his family lineage, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves after high school, serving for six years as a Motor Transport Operator and Automatic Rifleman. While serving, he earned his degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh—balancing academic growth with military duty.
For nearly two decades, Justin has worked at the intersection of business and service, guiding organizations in how to attract, evaluate, and retain military-experienced talent. He has partnered with over 500 companies and helped more than 5,000 veterans successfully transition into meaningful civilian careers.
As the creator of the Video Job Description, Justin brings a human-first, performance-based approach to modern hiring. He is the host of The Veteran Hiring Show, a LinkedIn Top Voice on career mobility, and a featured contributor across national and local media outlets.
Justin resides just outside Boston, MA with his wife, three children, two dogs, one snake, and a rotating cast of fish.

Devra Henderson brings more than 20 years of expertise in operations, executive communications, and strategic marketing to her dual role as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at Veteran Hiring Solutions. A seasoned leader in startup environments and high-growth teams, Devra has built her career helping organizations scale with clarity, impact, and precision.
Her expertise spans internal communications, C-suite messaging, change management, brand strategy, national media, and social amplification. For seven years, she led her own communications firm focused on the veteran hiring space—supporting companies, recruiters, and industry influencers in better telling the story of military talent.
As the daughter and granddaughter of U.S. Army veterans and the spouse of a Marine, Devra’s commitment to this work is personal. She’s passionate about helping employers not only understand but operationalize the value of veteran leadership.
When she’s not talking strategy behind the scenes at VHS, you’ll find her on the pickleball court, traveling with her family, or cheering from the sidelines of a youth sports game—alongside her husband, three kids, and two dogs.

Brian Nichols, Vice President of Recruiting
Brian Nichols brings a mission-first mindset forged through military service and refined across a dynamic career in recruiting and talent strategy. A U.S. Navy veteran who enlisted after the September 11th attacks, Brian continues a family legacy of service that traces back to the Revolutionary War.
Since 2011, he has helped over 5,000 veterans transition into meaningful employment — averaging more than one life-changing hire per day. His leadership spans industries and sectors, having built veteran hiring programs for Fortune 100 companies, federal agencies, and small businesses alike.
As Vice President of Recruiting, Brian leads with clarity and purpose. He understands the transition journey firsthand, having been the candidate, the corporate gatekeeper, and the program architect.
Beyond his professional work, Brian actively serves the veteran community nationwide.
He is the Vice National Commander of Combat Veterans of America, a member of the Veterans CARE Advisory Group for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and sits on the Advisory Board for TAVS USA — all efforts grounded in his belief that no veteran should navigate the next chapter alone.
Raised in the Washington D.C. area and now based in New England with his wife and five children, Brian remains focused on one goal: connecting mission-driven talent to roles where they can lead, grow, and serve again.
